UCR L5 Video Clip 2: Group describes different organization of cards
Group describes how they organized the cards into different piles using different criteria than metals/metalloids/non-metals. They choose one pile of elements that reacts with water (Na and Ca and Mg) and one pile that do not react with Oxygen in air (Al and B and C). They are unsure what to do about the remaining two cards in a middle pile (Li and Be). For each of the two major columns they sorted according to combining power. [When they did the task their Lithium card did not include information about its reactivity or how it combines with Chlorine so they could not use that information to guide their sorting.]
