UM L5 Video Clip 2: Group 1 discusses CQ 5-2
Group 1 discusses CQ 5-2. They provide a good argument for choice E (only the tip end will be affected becoming a S-Pole; the other end has no Pole). However Jessica seeks clarification from Tiffani.
UM L5 Video Clip 3: Class discusses CQ 5-2
The instructor asks the class to share their reasoning for the different predictions for CQ 5-2. The first student chooses E. The second student chooses C because he thought of it like a domino effect—once the entities near one end (closest to the magnet) flipped they'd cause the others along the nail to flip. The third student supports the same reasoning.
UM L5 Video Clip 6: Class discusses CQ 5-4
The class is almost equally divided on the three choices for CQ 5-4. The instructor asks for students to support their answers. Caitlin from Group 2 explains choice C (heating disorganizes everything). A second student supports A (no change). Veronica from G1 then says she initially supported B but now she is not so sure.
